Bats-toi INC, Brooklyn, NY 

Lead Technical Animator 2019 – current 

  • Successfully designed and integrated animation pipelines for multiple company projects.

  • Lead content development team manager for asset creation, character modeling and world building and other technical art solutions.

  • Optimized animation pipelines using iClone, CC4, and Unreal Live Link, resulting in a 30% reduction in production time.

  • Worked with motion capture to create in-game and cinematic performances going beyond underlying motion capture and exuding personality.

  • Recorded and animated  a library of over 100 wrestling moves, successfully implementing them into Unreal Engine's animation systems for an online multiplayer game.

  • Created game animation systems for locomotion, combat, and gameplay.

 

Sandbox VR, Los Angeles, CA 

Deployment Engineer, Feb 2018 – Feb 2020 

  • Provided technical solutions for new store build-outs. Planned effectively with hardware and software vendors to scope solutions.

  • Ensured the systems run well in store. During system failures, investigated and documented causes to work with R&D team and developed solutions.

  • Executed the deployment plan which included cabling, hardware assembling, wireless networking, and software installation.

Banff Center for Arts and Creativity, Banff, CA 

Lead Technical Animator, Feb 2017 – Jan 2018 

  • Designed and developed a pipeline for real-time animation in Unreal Engine for the Opera VR studio, ensuring seamless integration of different characters to be used in live performance.

  • Provided technical support and troubleshooted issues to optimize live virtual production.

 

Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, NY 

PhD research assistant Sep 2017–Oct 2018 

  • Designed and authored live motion capture performances for theater and opera. 

  • Researched applications in the intersection of rituals and shamanism with VR.

  • Taught the course “Motion capture for animation and games.” Applying user experience design and industry software tools to develop student projects.

  • Managed the motion capture studio of the Integrated Digital Media program.

 

Claro Telecommunications, Quito, Ecuador 

Cell base Engineer, Jan. 2011 – Feb. 2012

  • Supervised the construction and installation of new cell base towers. 

  • Provided diagnosis of faulty antennas, and crafted a repair plan, resulting in a 40% decrease in system failures across multiple zones. 

  • Drafted a consistent design system for cabling and served as liaison with hardware vendors.
